Stress plates are designed for use with Deck Screws™, SPIKE® anchors, and Speed Lock toggles. Stress plates can be grouped into two categories; insulation plates and membrane plates. Insulation plates, as the term implies, are used when mechanically attaching rigid foam insulation to roof decks. They are manufactured in a 3" diameter for use with No. 12, No. 14, and No. 15 Deck Screws™, 3/16" and 1/4" SPIKE® anchors, and 1/4" Speed Lock Toggles. Two carbon steel plates, a Type 304 stainless steel plate, disc are available. A recessed plate is available for use with the No. 12 hex washer head screws. For corrosion resistance, a Galvalume coating is applied to the carbon steel plates. Membrane plates, sometimes called lap plates, are used when mechanically attaching single ply material in the area of the lap or seam. They are manufactured in a 2" diameter for use with No 12, No. 14, and No. 15 Deck Screws™, 3/16" and 1/4" SPIKE® anchors, and 1/4" Speed Lock Toggles.
